Introduction

Interface, Inc. is searching for a Director of Communications, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This global manufacturer of environmentally responsible floorcoverings is committed to becoming a sustainable company. We're on a Mission to have zero environmental footprint by the year 2020, and we call this Mission Zero. We are looking for passionate, talented, team oriented individuals to help us on this Mission. This position is responsible for the overall global development, management and daily administration of all marketing and communication programs for Interface. The candidate must possess excellent writing, analytic, and presentation skills. This person will work with a wide range of Interface businesses and stakeholders, so they must be able to build internal and external relationships, be an effective communicator, and become a valuable resource for all business units.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage corporate marketing, communication and public relations programs from a global perspective. (i.e., PR strategy, media relations, investor relations)
  • Advise senior management team and the Interface businesses on matters of company positioning, branding and communications.
  • Manage investor relations reporting and surveys regarding corporate performance.
  • Become a resource to promote internal communications and devise and launch internal communication strategy and campaigns.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the content of the Interface websites.
  • Establish global marketing platforms and branding process for all business communications to ensure consistency within the Interface companies.
  • Oversee corporate marketing and communication budgets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and act as the company liaison to organizations in the community, government and cause-related entities wherever applicable.
  • Work with key executives for media training, events, speech writing, and trade presentations on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

The candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in communications and public relations.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Adobe Pagemaker, Lotus SmartSuite,) and graphic design capabilities.
  • Knowledge of HTML is preferred.
