About NCAP
The Northwest Coalition for Alternatives to Pesticides (NCAP) is a
non-profit environmental organization working in a five-state region to
protect the health of people and the environment by advancing alternatives
to pesticides. Founded in 1977, NCAP has successfully changed pesticide use
policies and pest management strategies throughout the Northwest. NCAP
programs are currently focused on expanding the public's knowledge of the
hazards of pesticides and of the alternatives by establishing pesticide-free
parks, working with farmers to build more sustainable agriculture practices
in the Northwest, unveiling the secrecy around pesticide use and pesticide
formulations, and promoting clean streams for salmon.
