Want to increase your leadership experience and put your love of gardening and the environment to good use? Lead our Garden-Based Education AmeriCorps team!

As a Team Leader, you will coordinate a team of up to 15 AmeriCorps members who are serving on local garden-based education projects. You will build individual relationships as well as a strong and cohesive team. You will foster your team members' professional development, coordinate trainings, plan events, and develop volunteer projects in the environmental community to build networks and contacts. Team Leaders play a major role in program communication; development and evaluation; and assisting Lower Columbia Center staff in supporting the program, members and their projects. Positions start September 3, 2008.

Compensation

Benefits include a monthly stipend of $1309 (before taxes), health insurance, a $4,750 education award, loan forbearance, child care allowance, and many training opportunities.
