Requirements

  1. Job openings must be related to the environment. Paid and unpaid positions are accepted.

  2. The posting must be a typical job vacancy announcement, with job description, qualifications, materials needed to apply, etc. Specific salary information is encouraged, but not required.

  3. Individuals submitting job vacancies must have permission to do so from their hiring manager or human resources department.

  4. EcoEmploySM reserves the right to edit submissions for readability and appearance.

Cost

All submitters: US $2.00 (two dollars) per 1,200 words per day. The minimum purchase is US $30.00 (thirty dollars).

When submitting a job announcement, please specify the number of days it is to run. Employers typically request 21 - 30 days.

If the number of days is not specified, 30 (thirty) days will be assumed.

EcoEmploySM will e-mail (preferred) an invoice as a Microsoft Word attachment. If explicitly requested, the invoice can be sent by postal mail.

An employer or recruiter may request more than one of its job announcements be included on the same page, up to the 1,200-word limit, if they are submitted on the same day. Such pages will be titled, "Various Positions."

Please submit only one version of the job announcement. If multiple versions of the same announcement are submitted, the shortest version will be used.

Minor modifications/corrections (less than 20 words) may be requested by electronic mail at any time, at no charge. Extensive revisions are subject to a $20.00 rewrite fee.

Additional Services (optional)

Mailing List Distribution

In addition to placing the job announcement on the Special Opportunities Web page, the text of the announcement can be sent through the EcoEmploySM electronic mailing list, which includes over 6,500 confirmed opt-in subscribers. Subscribers have specifically signed up for the EcoEmploySM mailing list and have not been imported from other lists. Electronic mailing list distribution is especially recommended for job openings that must be filled quickly or for openings that will be posted in Special Opportunities only briefly. The additional charge for mailing list distribution is US $15 (fifteen dollars).


Small Logo

Your logo can be added to the upper right hand corner of your job announcement Web page. The logo will be linked to your home page or another page of your choice. The additional charge for a logo is a flat fee of US $10 (ten dollars - not $10 per day). Please attach the logo to your electronic mail message when submitting the job posting. Logo specifications:

  • Static, not animated, GIF or JPG image
  • Maximum width: 90 pixels (see example at right)
  • Maximum height: 90 pixels (see example at right)
  • Maximum file size: 10 kilobytes (10 K)

Cross-links in Employer Directory

Additional links to your job posting page in Special Opportunities can be placed in the state/provincial directory of employer Web sites. The cost is US $5 (five dollars) per link for each state or province of your choice. If you are requesting a cross-link, please mention it in your electronic mail message. Please note that the cross-link will lead to the employer's page in the Special Opportunities section, not to the employer's Web site.

Paper Copy of Job Posting

A paper copy of the posting can be mailed for US $1 (one dollar). Instead, the client is recommended to print a copy of the posting directly from the Web site by using the browser's print function.

How to Submit Jobs

  • A fee is charged for all job postings.

  • The vacancy announcement(s) should be sent in the body of an electronic mail message, instead of attachments (except for logos). You can copy-and-paste text from your word processor to your e-mail message.

  • Please set the subject line of your electronic mail to: Paid Advertisement

  • Announcements will be posted for 30 (thirty) days, unless requested otherwise.

  • When submitting job postings, it is suggested that you "CC" your purchasing/accounts payable department.

  • When the vacancy announcement is added to EcoEmploySM, a confirmation and invoice will be sent by electronic mail, usually by the end of the same day. Please make sure that your e-mail filter will accept messages and Microsoft Word attachments from info@EcoEmploy.com
