Information Collection and Use

David R. Brierley is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. The owner will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. EcoEmploySM collects information from its users at several different points in its Web site.

Registration

This site does not require users to register, nor is a registration form provided.

Mailing List

EcoEmploySM offers a voluntary mailing list to visitors for the distribution of selected job postings, Web site updates, and other information. The only information collected by the list is the e-mail address and the IP address used to submit the e-mail address; no personally identifiable information is collected. The e-mail address will only be used for the EcoEmploySM mailing list. The e-mail address will not be given, sold, or rented to third parties by EcoEmploySM. Employers and sponsors do not have direct access to the mailing list; they submit their content to EcoEmploySM, which then distributes the information through the list.

The mailing list is a "confirmed opt-in" list. When an e-mail address is entered, a confirmation e-mail is sent to that address. The recipient at that e-mail address must reply to the confirmation message to complete the subscription process. If the recipient does not wish to subscribe, he/she may simply ignore and delete the confirmation message. This confirmation procedure prevents people from adding other people to the list without their consent.

Subscribers may unsubscribe from the mailing list at any time by clicking on the hypertext link that appears at the bottom of each message sent through the list. The mailing list is hosted by SparkLIST.com, which has its own privacy policy.

Ordering

EcoEmploySM requests information from employers and recruiters when they submit job postings or request other services. In such cases, a user must provide contact information (such as name and billing address). This information is used for billing and collection purposes. If there is difficulty in processing an order or collecting payment, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.

In the event payment for a job posting is not received within ninety (90) days of the due date, information may be shared with third parties, including, but not limited to, collection agencies and credit bureaus. Furthermore, if payment is not received within ninety (90) days of the due date, contact information and the electronic mail message used to submit the unpaid job posting may be published on this Web site.

Voluntary Contributions

EcoEmploySM accepts voluntary contributions from visitors to the Web site. Personally-identifiable information that EcoEmploySM receives from electronic contributions usually includes the electronic mail address and/or postal address of the contributor. Contributions made by postal mail will include whatever information the contributor chooses. EcoEmploySM may send a thank-you message to the contributor, but will not retain any personally identifiable information regarding the contribution. Electronic contributions are processed by PayPal (an eBay service); visitors are encouraged to read its privacy policy.

Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P)

The Platform for Privacy Preferences (P3P), administered by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), provides a way for Web sites to publish their privacy policies in a machine-readable syntax. A Web site will deploy P3P in order to make its privacy practices more accessible to the site's visitors. A visitor's Web browser can download the machine-readable privacy statements, and compare the contents of those statements to the user's preferences. The user's browser can automatically notify the user when they visit a site whose practices match the user's preferences -- or warn the user if the practices and preferences do not match. EcoEmploySM has incorporated this technology into its Web site.
